The Christmas Crowds

img10i.jpgYesterday I ventured out to the mall to mill around and find a teacher’s gift. Oh my gosh was it a little crazy. The line for the mall gift cards was about 20 folks deep. Wow! and the line for Santa was snaked around at least 3 times. The food court was full. Pottery Barn had candles 50% off, that is where I found my teachers gift, was also buzzing with people.

And it was 1 o’clock in the afternoon…..on a Wednesday. Wow.

It was fun…the Christmas music was playing and I love Christmas decorations. Parking was a bit of hassle though.

When we lived in Kings Bay, it would take 55 min. (I timed it on several occassions) to get to the Avenues Mall (where Pottery Barn is located). That means almost 2 hrs. there and back before you even set foot in a store.

Now we live 15 min. from the mall. That means, I can go to the mall… and technically be home in less time than the average one way trip.

This is just one of the many things I love about this new area I’m in. I don’t go to the mall very often, its just the thought that I can go and it not take half my day which makes all the difference to me!

I hope you sprinkle in some fun while preparing for the big day! I so love this last week right before Christmas!
