Pilot Scholarship Program for Spouses

Thinking about going back to school?   This is exciting news!    The Navy Times reports that      Jacksonville Naval Air Station is one of 18 military installations that are offering a pilot Scholarship program to military spouses.

Some military spouses at 18 installations will be eligible for a pilot program offering $3,000 a year, for up to two years, for tuition, books, equipment, credentialing and licensing fees, and other education and training expenses.

Those eligible for Military Spouse Career Advancement Initiative are military spouses in paygrades E1-E5 and O1-O3 who have completed some college, or who have earned a high school diploma or GED. The goal is for spouses to apply for funds they can use for semesters starting in January. The grants will be through military spouse “career advancement accounts.”
