In our Summer Fun Series:
Is it too late to book your trip to Disney?
As you all know, if you have been listening to our weekly radio show / podcast, Marie is visiting Mickey right now with her family. I’m sure she’ll have lots to report on her return. What I do know is she booked her trip 2 weeks out and got a really great deal on expedia.com. Shades of Green is always a great start too if you are wanting something not too expensive and on the resort.
If you are thinking about Disney World, here is a some great info I rec’d via email recently:

Note: We visited the Disney All-Star Sports resort a couple of years ago. The husband left for sea and two days later we left for 4 days at Disney. Yes, without him. It was great because he would have NEVER picked such a kid friendly place. He prefers room service at 1130pm (or later) and the amenties of a fancier hotel. My son LOVED the huge football field that we had to walk down every morning on the way to the parks. The pool was in a “baseball field” with HUGE baseball bats against the buildings. I think there is a time and place for a fancier hotel at Disney if you so desire, which we did when the husband came home….(being stationed just a few hours from Disney World helped)….however, for the kids when they are still at that “magical” age…..I highly recommend All-Star Sports. I haven’t stayed at any of the other value resorts so I can’t speak for those, but I’m thinking they are just as cool for the kids.
