She doesn’t look like Hannah Montana . . .

My little girl turned 6 last week.  She is IN LOVE with Hanna Montana.  She sings her songs, she quotes the TV show, and asks for everything under the sun that has to do with Hanna Montana.  If there was stock to buy in “Hannah Montana” my husband would have invested thousands and we would be set for retirement.  Makayla or “Kay” as we call her wanted one thing in particular this year.  She wanted to “be” Hannah Montana.   How do you do this, you might be thinking?  Well, you can get clothes that look like Hannah Montana and of course the jewelry and guitar, but the most important part of who Hanna Montana is, is the blond wig that she wears.  For those of you who are not familiar with the story line of the Show.  Let me fill you in.  Hannah Montana is really a sweet brunette girl named Miliey Cyrus( Yes, Billy Ray Cyrus’s daughter).  She  puts on this blond wig so that no one will recognize her and goes by the name Hannah Montana when preforming.  It’s a cute show and it’s every little girls dream to be normal preteen by day and a superstar by night.  So, what does my little brunette want!?  The wig.  I look all over and find it.  It was the “favorite present” until my husband saw her with it on. . .He seems to think she looks like a . . .well,  he doesn’t think she looks like his sweet little girl and doesn’t want her strutting through the store with it on and wearing her plastic high heel play shoes.  I have to admit that it does look a little strange.  Especially if you see her and don’t know who Hanna Montana is.  Her is a before and after for all of you to see what the fuss is about!  I think it is cute and will let her wear it to dress up, but I don’t know if she will be walking through the grocery store in it.

    We have that wig too. My oldest got it along with some video for Christmas. Eek! They love to wear it. It does get straggly and nasty though if you don’t take good care of it.

    I will admit, I am not a fan of Miley Cyrus. The kids love her show though.

    Thanks Jenn. I don’t get the craze. I just hope that Hannah Montana doesn’t turn into a Britney Spears! Oh Gosh. Kay would be heart broken if I banned her stuff from our house. :( Hopefully it won’t come to that.

    I have little boys so the hannah montana craze is not so big in our house but I can only imagine for such a fan that was a great birthday present.

    With the controversy over the Vanity Fair pictures, gosh her image is not very good right now….what a mess.

    Love Kayla’s photos though….People magazine will be calling soon. :)
